Setting credit controls on accounts

As the trading terms you agree with your customers and suppliers may vary, with Sage Accounts you have the flexibility to set credit control targets and limits on each account. For example, for some customers you may want to minimise the debt they can run up by setting a lower credit limit, or you may have early settlement discount agreements with some of your suppliers. You can use this information to easily monitor debt by generating reports and viewing account activities.

To set customer or supplier account credit controls

  1. Modules > Customers or Suppliers > open the account you want to work with > Credit Control tab.

  2. Enter the credit control details > Save > Close.
